Caroline Simonsen

Co-Artistic Director

Caroline is co-founder of Rascal Theatre, director and producer. 

Caroline graduated from Newcastle University in 2016 with a degree in English Literature. There she ran the Theatre Society (NUTS) and produced and directed student theatre in Newcastle and at the Edinburgh Fringe. After graduating she joined Fuel as a Producing Intern and worked there for two years as the Administrator and then Executive Assistant to Kate McGrath. 

She is currently the Producer at New Diorama Theatre.

Helena Westerman

Co-Artistic Director

Helena is co-founder of Rascal Theatre, resident writer, producer and actor. 

Since graduating from the LAMDA Foundation Diploma in 2014, she has been working in both theatre and film, with an Act Of Kindness being her writing debut. 

Acting credits include The Data Set (Short film), Quota (Short film), Lemons, Lemons, Lion (Southwark Playhouse), An Act Of Kindness (Lion and Unicorn, Theatre503, Edinburgh Fringe), Zombie Prom (Edinburgh Fringe) and Galvanise (VAULT Festival 2019).

Producer credits include An Act Of Kindness (Lion and Unicorn, Theatre503, Edinburgh Fringe) and Galvanise (VAULT Festival 2019).

Assistant producer credits include St George is Cross (Edinburgh Fringe), The Melting Pot (Finborough Theatre), Soldier On (The Other Palace).
