An Act Of Kindness

'A superb piece of theatre that is clever, funny and poignant'
Theatre Weekly

Two strangers meet at a bus stop. Martin, a successful young professional, leads a wildly different life to Leila, a daydreaming waitress at a greasy spoon. Living amidst the chaos of London, both struggle with what is expected of them as a man, as a woman, and where they fit into society.

'genuinely touching to all but the hardest-hearted’
The Scotsman

Set solely at a bus stop, this intimate two-hander gives a snapshot into the lives of Leila and Martin as their worlds collide, revealing the impact a simple hello can have on a fellow human. An Act Of Kindness is a reaction to the current feeling of hostility, uncertainty and distrust, and will drive away your Brex-Trump blues. Funny, warm, relatable to all humans.

An Act Of Kindness toured schools and received sell out runs at The Lion and Unicorn, Theatre503 and Edinburgh Fringe 2017, where it won the Theatre Weekly Best of the Fest award for Best Writing. In 2018 An Act Of Kindness was presented at VAULT Festival and The Old Joint Stock Theatre. For more information download the tour pack here or contact: rascaltheatre@gmail.com
